I was suddenly reminded today of the great maternal influence of my youth and childhood, my maternal grandmother. Condemned to state of near blindness at her end I still astounded at her peace and dignity the last time we met on this Earth. Nana appeared somewhat confused, but such she had earned in her late eighties.
She was ensconced on a great throne as ever the last remnant of the great Victorian sisterhood deserved. I was stilled with awe and exaltation. I remain so.
