Equality, equal treatment, joint responsibility under the law are wholly unnatural aspirations. The acceptance of freedom of choice, of action, freedom of activity, indeed any form of purely individual self-accountability must by inference cause another others a reduction of freedoms, however infinitesimal.
Modern society has decided, with a wisdom not necessarily founded on good sense to pronounce rule by majority as being the fairest and most acceptable form of government. This ensures that a minority as large as forty nine percent of the populous is effectively disenfranchised till the next count of raised hands. Ideally of course the smaller percentile immediately stands corrected and throws all their support, good will, fraternity, behind the larger crowd, creating immediate unity and unopposed direction.
